
Transport Minister Galal el Said inspected on Saturday projects to be established in western Alexandria and corridors to link two ports in the coastal city.
The Kafouri corridor, which starts from Alexandria Desert Road to Borg El Arab City, was toured by the minister.
It is meant to serve traffic to the industrial city and the northwestern Coast, said el Said, adding that the project will be also useful for Matrouh, west of Alexandria.
The minister inspected also the project of a bridge that is established over Sidi Kraeir Road to link El Tameir corridor. He ordered the project, at a total cost of EGP 250 million, to be swiftly finalized.
Among the other transport plans is the Dekheila corridor project which will cost EGP280 million.
