
Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon arrived this evening in Amman on a visit during which he will meet with a number of senior Jordanian officials as part of a tour of the region which included Lebanon and Iraq.
Jordan's King Abdullah II on Sunday will meet with Ban Ki-moon to discuss various international and Arab issues and the role of the UN in dealing with the Syrian crisis as well as the role being played by Jordan in serving the Syrian refugees.
The visit of the UN Chief comes within the framework of preparations for the international summit on the Syrian refugees due to be held in Geneva / Switzerland as well as the World Humanitarian Summit which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey.
