
Assistant Secretary-General for Policy and Programme of UN-Women Yannick Glemarec left Cairo on Sunday, winding up a visit to Egypt during which he inspected some women projects and met with senior officials to discuss the conditions of women in Egypt.
The UN official praised the activities and initiatives launched by young Egyptians to address violence against women.
During a tour in Imbaba neighborhood in northern Giza, Glemarec visited two UN-backed projects on maintaining citizen's rights and security.
He voiced happiness over efforts exerted by volunteers who took part in the initiative to make the change.
