UN Special Envoy for Syria to Visit Tehran

UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura will start a visit to Tehran next Tuesday for talks with Iranian officials on the latest developments of the Syrian crisis.
Last week, de Mistura visited Moscow, where he met with Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as part of his efforts to end the war in Syria.
UN Special Envoy for Syria announced on Thursday that the next round of Geneva talks on the settlement of the Syrian crisis will start on April 13th.
At a press conference, Staffan de Mistura noted that the next round of the talks need to be quite concrete in the direction of a political process leading to a real beginning of a political transition in Syria.
