US defence secretary arrives in Baghdad

US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter arrived here on Monday for talks with Prime Minister Haider Abadi and Defense Minister Khaled Obeidi.
Talks will cover the developments of the anti-Daesh war, support of international coalition of Iraqi forces to complete liberation of Anbar and Mosul and preparations for the projected summit between US President Barack Obama and the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
