US President Barack Obama has urged Americans in North Carolina to back and elect the Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
During an election campaign in Chapel Hill in North Carolina, Obama called for electing Democrat Hillary Clinton as his successor in the White House, urging voters to keep the Republican candidate Donald Trump out of the White House.
Speaking amid fierce battleground in the race for the White House between Clinton and Trump, President Obama warned that the fate of the US republic is at stake. "The fate of the republic rests on your shoulders," President Obama told supporters in the key battleground state of North Carolina. Barack Obama said Hillary Clinton made him a better president having served as his secretary of state for four years.
US President is touring several US states to support the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. He began his tour from Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday, and visited Raleigh, North Carolina, on Wednesday. Obama will travel to Miami, Florida, on Thursday, and to Jacksonville, Florida, on Friday. His tour will come to a close on the same day with a visit to South Carolina.
