2 planes loaded with medical aid arrive in Yemen

A plane, loaded with 37 tons of medical aid and affiliated with the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), arrived at Sanaa International Airport on Friday.
In statements on Friday, the orginzation's spokesman Mohammed al Asadi said that the aid is the first to be provided by the UNICEF, adding that it will be delivered to the Health Ministry so as to be distributed to hospitals.
The cargo includes medicine for wounded children, women and civilians, he noted.
Meanwhile, an aircraft of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), arrived in the Yemeni capital, carrying 16.5 tons of medical aid.
The ICRC's spokesperson in Yemen, Marie Claire Feghali, said that another plane will be sent by the organization to the war-hit country, adding that it will be loaded with medical aid, tents and electric generators.
