
The Bahrain Red Crescent (BRC)'s Secretary-General Dr. Fawzi Amin emphasized the importance of reinforcement of humanitarian and relief assistance work by boosting partnerships with various sides, such as Red Crescent societies, Red Cross societies, governments, civil society organisations (NGOs), etc.
Dr. Amin chaired one of the sessions of the Ninth Asian-Pacific Regional Conference held currently in the Chinese capital, Beijing, stressing the significance of "thinking about diverse elements of good partnership, such as common responsibility, and boosting the value of financial resources in order enhance work in national Red Crescent societies around the world".
Dr. Amin during the session titled "Sustainable Development through Innovation" said that sustainable development often requires strong constantly developed partnerships. He said that "partnership" as a word is used and exploited so much and we should understand well what it means and how to choose our partners and to boost cooperation relations with our partners always in the service of humanitarian and relief assistance work which we hope to undertake in the most perfect manner.
The Secretary-General of Bahrain Red Crescent Society presented a pro forma image of the universal agricultural project sponsored by the Bahrain Red Crescent Society as an example of innovative projects which represents partnerships with various sides to support humanitarian work. He said that the project comes in line with the initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King, in support of agrarian projects which includes partnership with the Supreme Council for Women (SCW).
