
Health Minister, Sadiq bin Abdul-Karim Al-Shehabi, today met with World Health Organization (WHO)'s Advisor, Director of Bahrain's Office at the WHO's Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office, Dr. Ismail Adham Abdel-Moneim, on the occasion of visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the presence of the Health Undersecretary, Dr. Aisha Bu-Unq, Health Assistant Undersecretary for Hospitals Affairs Dr. Amin Al-Sa'ati, Health Assistant Undersecretary for Primary Care and Public Health, Dr. Mariam Athbi Al-Jalahma, Public Health's Director, Dr. Mariam Al-Hajri and Acting Director of Public and International Relations, Anisa Al-Huwaihi. The two sides discussed the joint training and consolatory programs between the Health Ministry and WHO, infectious diseases and means of prevention, non-communicable diseases, such as chronic diseases, mental health, anti-drugs, family health and gender equity, the national health system plans and strategies and responding to emergency and disaster cases.
