
The Northern Governorate organized a lecture on "Ebola Disease" at Duraz Intermediate Girls School.
The lecture was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health in line with recommendations of the Governorates Coordinative Council and in compliance with the directives of Governor Ali Ibn Al-Sheikh Abdul-Hussein Al-Asfoor regarding increased public awareness about the pandemic.
The lecture was presented by Immunization Specialist Houraa Hassan Al-Shula from the Ministry of Health.
The health awareness campaign was conducted by the Governorate under its strategic slogan "All of Us are Partners in Peace" to shed light on Ebola disease, its impacts on human health, method of its spread and contagion between patients, explanation of key symptoms and its incubation period estimated from 2 to 21 days.
The anti-Ebola health awareness campaign will continue in the upcoming period under the supervision and follow up of the Head of Governorate's Social Programmes Section Hayyat Al-Hulaibi in a number of public and private schools as well as civil society organisations and women's maatems. The campaign is association with distribution of awareness pamphlets on the disease commissioned and printed by the Governorate.
