
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Middle East-Africa Council of Ophthalmology (MEACO)'s Board of Directors Chairman, member of the Board of Trustees of the international Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), and Head of its Eastern Mediterranean Office HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
HRH Premier lauded the solid deep-rooted Bahraini-Saudi relations, praising the advanced level of bilateral cooperation in all fields, including the organisation of specialised conferences related to health care and medical and therapeutic services, such as ophthalmology.
HRH the Prime Minister commended the crucial role played by HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed in the field of combating blindness though his responsibilities in national, international and regional ophthalmology institutions.
He also praised the efforts exerted by GCC countries in the fields of heath care, including ophthalmology, and combating visual disability.
HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed utmost thanks to HRH Premier for his support to preventive events related to combating visual disability.
He voiced pride in HRH Premier's patronage of all events related to ophthalmology, which, he said, reflected his desire to develop the health and therapeutic fields in the kingdom and GCC countries.
