Health officials in California Wednesday warned consumers not to eat Daniella-brand mangoes because they may be contaminated with salmonella. The fruit were packed in Mexico and distributed by Splendid Products of Burlingame, Calif., the state Health Department said. Seventy-three people in California and 103 people nationwide have been sickened by tainted mangoes, KNTV, San Francisco, reported. Symptoms include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, stomach cramps and diarrhea. The fruit, which are no longer on the shelves, were sold individually with the sticker brand "Daniella" and a small sticker with codes 4051, 4959, 4311, 4584 or 3114, the TV station said.
