A family of six has died from eating poisonous mushrooms in east China's Zhejiang Province, according to a local hospital on Thursday.
Members of the family from Wushan Village, Yongjia County had symptoms including vomiting on July 2 after eating noodles with Amanita verna, a deadly poisonous fungus that can cause liver failure.
The family of six, including an elderly couple in their 70s, their son and two daughters as well as their 26-year-old grandson died between July 7 and July 22.
Relatives of the family received about 800,000 yuan (130,719 U.S. dollars) in donations from the public for medical treatment, according to the Qianjiang Evening News, a local newspaper.
