Following the successful launch of the Sehaaty app for Dubai residents at Gitex 2014, the Dubai Health Authority has launched yet another app called Dubai Doctors, which will also benefit visitors to the emirate as well as residents.
The app will be available on multiple platforms including iOS, Android, Windows and BlackBerry.
Giving details about the working of the app, Amani Al Jasmi, Director of Information Technology at DHA, said: "The Dubai Doctors app is a service under the umbrella of DHA's smart health services portfolio meant for both residents and visitors interested in information about health facilities/professionals available in Dubai.”
The app enables users to search for a doctor, a health facility and have complete access to information about all public and private hospitals in Dubai, DHA primary health centres and DHA medical fitness centres.
"For example, a user searching for a dentist around his/her residence will get a detailed list of professionals/facilities either as a list or map view, as per the user's preference. The user can also like or unlike the doctor/facility after seeking their service and this feature has been built in to rope in community feedback of health services in Dubai,” she added.
Eisa Al Maidour, Director-General of DHA, said the app was in keeping with DHA's smart health strategy which would transform Dubai into a smart city so that customers can have access to smart services that are convenient and can be accessed through various kinds of technologies.
"Today with the various apps available, customers can access information and avail of services at their convenience, any time of the day. Through the introduction of such focused apps, we aim to provide users with convenience which directly results in enhanced customer experience,” he said.
