Egypt ambassador in Austria meets Egyptian liver doctors in Europe

Egypt's Ambassador to Austria Khaled Shamaa has met with a group of Egyptian liver doctors participating in a European Conference for doctors of liver diseases.
The meeting took up efforts to curb the Hepatitis C from Egypt and the ongoing cooperation with international organizations in this domain.
The Egyptian health ministry managed to provide the highly effective Hepatitis C drug, Sovaldi, for EGP 2,200.
Sovaldi costs USD 84,000 for a 12-week course of treatment and clinical studies indicated it has a 90% cure rate.
