The Egyptian Embassy in Juba received a 15-strong medical delegation from Egypt's Health Ministry.
The visit comes as part of Egypt's approach to cement ties with the African continent and its commitment to support the Africans and contribute to raising the standard of living of the African people, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Thursday.
The visit aims to discuss ways of rehabilitating the medical ward in Juba teaching hospital and establishing a
dialysis unit, said the head of the Egyptian medical delegation Dr Mohamed Gad.
The health minister of South Sudan voiced appreciation of the medical cooperation between Cairo and Juba.
He also hailed Egypt's efforts to raise the efficiency of the health sector and offer new service for citizens in South Sudan.
