Egypt's health minister chairs urgent meeting on emergency services

Health Minister Adel Adawi chaired Thursday a meeting on medical emergency services with heads of emergency departments at government and university hospitals.
The meeting took up the ministry's plan to upgrade the medical emergency services at the state-owned hospitals.
"Patients at the state-owned hospitals must receive appropriate emergency services like those at the private ones," the minister said.
He further underscored the importance of the optimal use of the available resources at hospitals to ensure a fair distribution of health services.
