The mission is financed by the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development of the Foreign Ministry to overcome the acute shortage faced by the Ghanaian hospitals.
The Ghanaian health minister received the Egyptian doctors, praising Egypt's quick response for his country's need for the urgent support.
Egyptian doctors will be deployed in various regions to work alongside Ghanaian doctors, transfer their expertise to them and train young crews, the mini said.
For his part, the ambassador said that the mission reflects distinguished relations between the two countries, and represents a first step to re-launch bilateral relations in all medical fields through a memorandum of understanding scheduled to be signed.
He stressed Egypt's commitment to support its brotherly countries in the African continent.
