GPIC was pleased to offer financial support for the Bahrain Cancer Society with a contribution from the Company to enhance the noble mission of the Society to assist patients with this disease. Mr. Abdulrahman Jawahery, GPIC President, said that this support comes in implementation of the Company’s Social Responsibility towards various sectors of Bahraini society and its desire to contribute and support charities known for their provision of services to citizens. Mr. Jawahery commended the outstanding role played by the Bahrain Cancer Society and all its affiliates with respect to raising awareness among citizens about cancer as well as the Society’s continued efforts and contributions of benevolent service to Bahraini society, whether through educational programmes or in providing the means for the treatment and care required by cancer sufferers. Methods of combating cancer and early diagnosis programmes have evolved to become today an integrated national plan, shared between citizens on one hand and those responsible for the medical sector in the Kingdom on the other.
