Harry Moseley: Tributes as cancer fundraiser, 11, dies

Tributes have been paid to an 11-year-old boy who has died from a brain tumour after raising thousands of pounds for charity.Harry Moseley, from Birmingham, became well-known through his presence on Twitter after being diagnosed with the tumour after becoming ill in 2007.Many celebrities have paid tribute to him on the site while Cancer Research UK said he was an "inspiration".Harry made and sold bracelets for his Help Harry Help Others campaign.He had been in a coma since August and died on Saturday night.On Twitter, tributes came from the likes of England footballers Jack Wilshere and Rio Ferdinand, Dragon's Den entrepreneurs Peter Jones, Duncan Bannatyne and Deborah Meaden, snooker star Jimmy White, former prime minister's wife Sarah Brown and teenage diving star Tom Daley, whose father died of a brain tumour earlier this year.Mrs Brown described Harry as "a great guy who achieved so much in 11 years". She added: "Enjoyed meeting Harry and proud owner of one of his charity bracelets."Richard Taylor, executive director of fundraising and marketing at Cancer Research UK said: "We're extremely saddened to hear that the extraordinarily brave young Harry Moseley has tragically lost his fight against brain cancer at the age of just 11. "Harry was an inspiration to children and adults alike in his quest to raise awareness of brain cancer through his campaign 'Help Harry Help Others'."It was Harry's wish that the whole of the UK would wear one of his bracelets with pride.  "He truly touched the hearts of everyone that he met and the difference he made during his short life is remarkable. "Our hearts go out to his family at this incredibly difficult time."
