Government of the United States, through the US Development Agency (USDA), signed a Health Agreement with Kurdistan Region's Ministry of Health. Advisor of the Region's Ministry of Health, Aram Rostum, said on Tuesday, Sep. 25, that the Agreement aims to improve health situation within the frame of operation adopted by the Region covering its three provinces. For his part, the USDA President, Thomas Staal, said that the Agreement includes establishing 57 Health Centers at the cost of $ 18 millions, half of it provided by the Region's authority and the other half by USDA. Staal added that the centers will be according to the highly developed internationally standards.
