The Health Ministry denied reports circulated by social media on lack of blood bags at hospitals where the injured in a blast in El Boutroseya Church are being treated.
In press statements on Sunday, Health and Population Minister Ahmed Emad el Din Radi said that all blood groups are available at Dar Al Shefaa, El Demerdash, El Zahra and the Italian hospitals.
There is full coordination between hospitals and the blood banks in Cairo's Abbassiya and Giza's Agouza districts to supply them with their need of blood bags, the minister said.
The minister added that he and the higher education minister visited the injured at hospitals to inquire after their health.
He reiterated that blood bags and all medical supplies are available at all hospitals where the injured are being treated.
There are nearly 200 blood bags of all groups at El Demerdash Hospital and 57 others in Dar El Shefaa Hospital, the minister underlined.
He further urged media outlets not to spread rumors that aim at destabilizing the homeland and triggering a state of chaos during the current critical circumstances.
So far, 25 persons were killed and 49 others were injured in the terror blast.
