Health Minister Adel Adawi met with renowned heart surgeon Magdi Yacoub on Monday.
The minister hailed the role of the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation in Aswan.
The foundation is a charity NGO that is working to provide medical treatment and train a new generation of doctors, surgeons and nurses.
It helps Egypt emerge as a regional and international presence in the field of scientific research, the minister said.
