"Low bone density, which increases the risk of osteoporosis, is rising at an alarming rate across the GCC," says Dr Humeira Badsha, UAE-based rheumatology specialist, and Anlene bone health ambassador. "Most people are neither achieving recommended daily intakes of essential bone nutrients, mainly calcium and vitamin D, nor doing enough physical activities. The all-day event at Star Atrium will feature workshops on pilates, walking and Zumba, bone scanning, nutritional consultation and the Anlene Bone Tunnel to help, women in particular, prevent osteoporosis and build stronger bones.
