
The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) of Muslim World League (MWL) has provided, in 2014, intensive health services to masses of the poor and needy people in 19 countries from the continents of Asia, Africa and Europe at a total cost of SR 7,807,335 from which more than 300,000 male and female patients benefited through several institutions and medical convoys established by the Organization for this humanitarian purpose.
The IIRO Secretary General Ehsan bin Saleh Tayeb stated that the Organization has also run medical convoys to vaccinate children against some diseases, and conducted surgeries in the area of cardiac and catheters as well as other health programs, noting that a number of volunteering Saudi doctors in various disciplines engaged in the Organization's medical humanitarian activities.
