The Maqased Charitable Hospital in Amman was presented Thursday with an ambulance by the Japanese government.
Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Shuichi Sakurai said that providing the hospital with this ambulance would facilitate transferring patients, provide medical care and emergency services for a wide segment of the Jordanian community as well as Syrian refugees.
Sakurai appreciated the Hai Nazzal and Dhiraa Gharbi Zakat Committee's efforts in supporting needy Jordanian families and Syrian refugees.
The ambassador praised the effective policies of the Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry in providing social and humanitarian support to poor families in the Kingdom. He also highlighted the hospital's role in providing low-cost or free medical care for Syrian refugees.
