
Member of the Jordanian Radiologist Society, Ramzi Samawi, was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the Eurasian Radiology Initiative. The election took place on the sidelines of the European Congress of Radiology which was recently held in the Austrian capital, Vienna. Samawi told Petra on Saturday that members of the Eurasian Initiative elected the members of the Executive Committee and entrusted them with establishing an internal system to identify targets, drafting a framework and making preparations for a scientific conference. The Initiative will be officially proclaimed during this conference. "The Eurasian Initiative aims to enhance the ties of cooperation between doctors in Europe and Asia, exchange expertise and latest developments in the science of radiology, establish joint cooperation programs and hold scientific conferences," he added. Members of the Executive Committee represent Egypt, Russia, Iran, Turkey, Pakistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Cyprus.
