Senate President Abdul Raouf Rawabdeh said Jordan is keen to attract non-profit donors to contribute to developing the services sector to address the problems of poverty and unemployment.
At a meeting with President of the World Health Development Fund, Elhami al-Ghandour, and the accompanying delegation, Rawabdeh said that Jordan valued the Fund's efforts to provide funding for various services and industrial projects for which the Jordanian government did not have to incur any financial or political commitments.
Al Ghandour pointed to the Fund's policy and work mechanisms, adding that it works through the government on a non-profit basis.
The Fund, he added, aims to help friendly countries solve the problem of poverty and unemployment and providing job opportunities to the youth in projects supported by the Fund.
