
The Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah has recently conducted 225 successful operations to eradicate tumors through the endoscope and vascular catheter.
Dr. Jeon Eui Yong, Consultant, MD Radiography Division of Imaging and Laboratory at the hospital said the hospital adopts the latest in the field of endoscopy, adding that this reflects the hospital's keenness on providing modern medical treatments to patients.
He explained that the laparoscopic technique has become a certified method at the hospital for eradicating many tumours as it reduces complications suffered by the patient after the operation.
Dr. Yong noted that the hospital has recently introduced new therapeutic way to help the healing of liver cancer and the uterine fibrosis treatment without a surgery through vascular catheter at the interventional radiology department at the hospital.
