
The 12th International GCC Dermatology, Venereology and Laser Conference and Exhibition kicked off here Tuesday where a group of elite doctors from the GCC States, Arab countries, the US and Europe will exchange expertise and discuss the latest research in these medical fields. The three-day event was held under the patronage of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and was opened by Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Health Minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. In his opening speech, the minister said the conference will embrace a number of lectures and workshops on the various branches of dermatology which are essential to bringing the medical staff up-to-date with the latest research and the newest treatment and equipment used. He added that this venue will provide a great opportunity to exchange expertise and bring to the table fruitful discussions that will be beneficial to resident physicians, new medicine graduates and medical students. On his part, Secretary-General of the GCC Dermatology Association Dr. Abdulwahab Al-Fozan expressed appreciation to His Highness the Crown Prince for supporting the event and stressed the importance of getting familiarized with the newest information on such medical fields to patients received the best treatment. The conference is co-organized by the GCC Dermatologists Association and Kuwait's Ministry of Health and is held every two years in a different GCC country
