Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Legal Affairs Salman Ali Al-Haifi announced on Saturdya the issuance of some 1,767 birth and death certificates for illegal residents since the beginning of this year until the end of last August.
Al-Haifi told KUNA that this period witnessed the issuance of 1,684 birth certificates and 83 death certificates, bringing the total of those documents since the promulgation of the law (409/2011) for providing facilities for the category of illegal residents to 24,352 certificates, including 23,247 birth certificates and 1,105 death certificates.
He added that the issuance of these certificates comes in coordination and cooperation with the central agency to address the situation of illegal residents.
