
Ambassador to Argentina Salah Al-Mutairi presented Thursday a check of 3 million peso (about USD 500,000) to Argentinean government as a donation from the Kuwaiti government for Garrahan Cancer Hospital. The donation was handed over in a ceremony attended by top officials at the Argentinean Foreign Ministry and Garrahan Hospital. "We care much about supporting friendly countries," Al-Mutairi told reporters after the ceremony. He stated that the Garrahan Hospital provide high-quality medical care services for thousands of patients not only from Argentina, but also from across Latin America. In recognition of this contribution, a whole floor at the hospital with a total area of 2400 square meters will be named after Kuwait.
