
Minister of Health Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Sabah said Tuesday the newly-built Hayat breast cancer early detection center was a qualitative leap in health care, especially taht it was the first to serve the capital area. During the opening ceremony of the center at Yarmouk area, Sheikh Mohammad, also Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, said people could carry out necessary checkups at the center using state of the art medical technologies. Sheikh Mohammad added that other medical equipment will be included in the center, to help inspection of tumors and defects. The minister also expressed gratitude to Ruqayya Abdulwahab Al-Qatami Charity for their generous donation in building the center, which reflected positively and greatly on the partnership between private and public sectors. For her part, the President of Al-Qatami Charity Layla Abdullah Al-Ghanem said breast cancer was the cause of death to many women around the world, including Kuwait, thus it is important to carry out early detection to save women.
