
Kuwaiti ambassador to Khartoum Talal Al-Hajri has participated in a celebration for children with diabetes where he took part in distributing 1,000 blood sugar testing device.
This celebration was funded by Kuwaiti Zakat House with participation of Patients Helping fund Society in Sudan and Sudanese Diabetes Association.
This support is important for the children who need care and attention, and distribution of the devices would continue from the Kuwait Zakat House and people of Kuwait, ambassador Al-Hajri said in a speech.
The ambassador praised the role of Sudan's Patients Helping fund Society for overseeing the hospitals established by the State of Kuwait in Khartoum, Kassala and AL-Abyad, in addition to the facilities rendered by the state of Sudan.
For his part, Chairman of the Board of Director of the Fund Dr. Mohammad Al-Hassan Abdulrahman expressed gratitude to the state of Kuwait for the charities provided by the Kuwaiti people to their Sudanese counterparts.
Commissioner-General of the Sudanese humanitarian aid Mohammed Al-Sennari Praised the support of the State of Kuwait and the Fund in Sudan, especially aid they provided after the floods that swept through a number of areas in Khartoum last year.
The device which is distributed to children with diabetes will cut down their hospital visits by 90 present, Chairman of Sudanese Diabetes Association Mohammad Ahmad Abdullah said.
