
Kuwaiti Ambassador Sheikh Ali Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabahdiscussed means to pick up on Italy's expertise in the food industry during a visit tothe northern city of Parma and ties between the two sides on the cultural and tourism spectrums.This occurred as the Mayor of Parma Federico Pizzarotti took the ambassador on atour of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) in the city which lies in theEmilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. The visit comes as both sides are preparing to celebrate their Golden Jubileeanniversary since the start of diplomatic relations.How Kuwait could cooperate with Parma, which is known for its high qualityinternationally listed foods, namely meats and cheeses, and its rich cultural andhistoric significance, was also a topic of discussion. Mayor Pizzarotti, in the presence of Parma's Minister of Productive Activities,welcomed increased industrial and investment cooperation between businessesfrom both sides, and expressed keenness at the prospect of hosting Kuwaitidelegations who could pick up on both the city's and the continent's expertise onthe matter.The Kuwaiti ambassador was also taken on a cultural day-trip around the ancientcity's castles, walkways and squares.
