
Visiting Kuwaiti parliamentary friendship delegation met here on Tuesday with members of theCityParliament to discuss cooperation possibilities Kuwait in the academic and medical fields.The two sides explored ways to allow Kuwaiti patients receive treatment at the city hospitals.The delegation's visit to the City Parliament was of high importance as they discussed with the Swiss side possibilities of obtaining treatment opportunities for some incurable medical cases at Zurich hospitals, which are well-known for their highly advanced international competency and superb abilities, MP Dr. Hussein Al-Quwaian, head of the delegation, stated to KUNA. The delegation was also given a scope on the medical system at Zurich, work measures of the medical insurance system, and requirements for accepting Kuwaiti patients, as well as details on possible agreement signing between the two sides, Al-Quwaian added.He indicated that the discussion addressed possible opportunities for Kuwaiti students to study at the University of Zurich and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, particularly on graduate level, Master's and Doctorate, in order to benefit from their excellent educational and scientific levels that made the city one of the important European scientific research centers in practical tech fields, including medicine. Ways of strengthening economic ties with Kuwait and to increase volume of trade exchange between the two sides were also discussed during the meeting, Al-Quwaian said, adding that Zurich enjoys an industrial production of high quality standards in fields of technical precision, heavy mechanization, and energy transferring, as well as rationalizing its consumption.Kuwaiti parliamentary friendship delegation visit to Zurich started on March 22 and is to end on March 26. Afterwards, the delegation is to head to Germany to visit the German Parliament. Their German visit is to last until March 30. The delegation includes MPs Kamel Al-Awadhi, Askar Al-Anzi, and Madhi Al-Hajri.
