Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab held a meeting on Thursday to discuss solutions to problems facing the running of an international hospital in Tanta, which is affiliated to Tanta University.
At the meeting, the prime minister reviewed a report on the hospital, which showed a shortage in the number of nurses, technicians, administrative staff and medication, which caused the hospital not to work in its full capacity.
Mahlab stressed the necessity of solving such problems to make the hospital a model in Gharbiya governorate.
"The hospital has great potentials and will serve the whole Delta," Mahlab said, adding that it will provide integrated research, educational and therapeutic services at the highest level.
It was agreed to make announcement of 250 financial, administrative and paperwork jobs in the hospital as well as a manger and three deputies to run the facility.
As many as 360 graduates of the nursing institute in Tanta and 150 others from the nursing faculty will be appointed at the hospital.
