The 7th International AIDS Society (IAS) Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention will be held in Kuala Lumpur from June 30 to July 3 this year, a statement issued by IAS said Friday. Leading scientists, clinicians, public health experts and community leaders from all over the world will gather at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center to discuss latest developments in HIV- related research. According to the statement, the conference is aimed at sharing the latest research in biomedical aspects of the virus and effective ways to prevent and treat the epidemic. It marks the first time that the biennial event, organized by IAS in partnership with the Center of Excellence for Research in AIDS, University of Malaya and with the support of the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau, will be held in Asia, the statement said.
