U.S. fast-food giant McDonald's said it will offer family meal deals in its Kansas City restaurants with the introduction an option called the Blitz Box. The Blitz Box will include two Quarter Pounders with Cheese, two medium-sized orders of French fries, and two 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, the Chicago Tribune reported Saturday. The food will come in a box with the Kansas City Chiefs football team logo on the side. "Bundling" food items together was becoming a popular option, McDonald's Chief Executive Officer Don Thomson said. McDonald's already sells family meal packages in Australia and the Czech Republic, but this is the first time the option has been made available in the United States, the newspaper said. McDonald's said the deal in Kansas City, reported first by BurgerBusiness.com, was a local promotion deal that could be expanded if it does well.
