
The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning and Widam Food Company held Thursday a coordination meeting on some cases recently raised about injections given to some sheep being discovered by a team of veterinarians at abattoirs.
The participants confirmed their keenness for providing meat that is fit for human consumption in accordance to the health requirements and standards, as well as obtaining required certificates and documents stipulated in this regard They affirmed that government-subsidized meat being sold out during the holy month of Ramadan was fit for human consumption.
The Ministry of Municipal and Widam Food Company ensured the public that the medical examination includes all the meat sold, without exception, and in case of suspicion the veterinarian booked the carcass and provide a free alternative for the consumer.
