New bird flu case reported in Assuit

A new bird flu case was reported in Assuit, Upper Egypt, on Tuesday after a person showed the virus symptoms, according to laboratory tests, the health ministry said.
A 51-year-old man was suffering from cough and high fever and was being closely monitored, the ministry added.
This case takes the number of bird flu cases in 2014 to 26, including ten deaths.
The ministry said 12 cases were discharged from hospital, while four others were still receiving treatment.
