
Up to 291 cases of suspected infection with the Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MER-CoV) have been examined at laboratories of the Ministry of Health and have proven to be negative, a ministry official said on Monday.
The Ministry of Health has recorded no Corona cases in the State in May, said the MoH assistant undersecretary for public health affairs, Dr. Qais Al-Duwairi, in a statement.
He said statistics of the World Health Organization (WHO) showed that up to 274 cases were registered globally in April, and this figure dropped to 195 in May.
Dr. Al-Duwairi affirmed the ministry's keenness on following up on "the regional status regarding this issue."
