A cruise ship has arrived in Florida with more than 100 passengers stricken with what was believed to be the norovirus, the ship's operators said. Royal Caribbean International said in a written statement the Vision of the Seas docked Friday at Port Everglades after listing 105 passengers and three crew members suffering from an unspecified and unpleasant stomach bug. "When Vision of the Seas arrived to Port Everglades, we conducted an extensive and thorough sanitizing onboard the ship and within the cruise terminal to help prevent any illness from affecting the subsequent sailing," the statement said. ABC News said the ship was at sea for 11 days with 1,991 passengers and stuck to its scheduled ports of call. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control did not have a report of a norovirus outbreak aboard the ship. The ailing passengers were treated while aboard and appeared to respond well to medication, Caribbean said. The company was helping passengers on the Vision's next voyage reschedule their trips if they so desired, The Miami Herald said.
