Staphylococcus bacteria, which can cause pneumonia and blood poisoning has been detected in dumplings produced by Synear, a famous Chinese dumplings producer, according to the Beijing Industrial and Commercial Bureau. The bureau said in a recent statement that its latest spate of food testing had discovered 18 kinds of defective food, and disclosed that the contaminated Synear dumplings came from a Wu Mart supermarket in Beijing. The statement also revealed that the sale of all 18 defective food sources is now forbidden in Beijing and urged consumers who have purchased any of the defective products to return them to the stores from which they were purchased.
