
The Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) staff are making ready to accommodate patients who were injured in a road accident involving their bus in Al Abdali area in the State of Kuwait as they were heading to Iraq. Health Minister Sadiq bin Abdelkarim Al-Shehabi instructed all SMC medical and nursing personnel to make the necessary preparations to provide required health care for the wounded.
HRH the Premier directed the Health and Foreign Ministries and the Bahraini embassy in Kuwait to take the necessary procedures to repatriate the bodies of the deceased to Bahrain.
HRH the Premier also directed the relevant authorities to follow up on the health condition of the injured people, provide them with the needed healthcare and transfer those whose health condition allows to receive treatment at Bahrain's hospitals. The Foreign Ministry is coordinating with the Riyadh-based Bahrain Embassy to transfer the wounded to Bahrain's largest hospital to receive treatment.
The minister paid tribute to HRH the Premier for his directives as well as keenness on providing premium health and therapeutic services, hailing the efforts of the Saudi and Bahraini embassies to return the wounded home.
