The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) has announced the detection of a second case infected with coronavirus. The SCH said in a press statement issued on Friday evening that the laboratory diagnosis for this case was conducted last Tuesday, adding that the patient was admitted to Hamad Hospital last October, where he was treated and gradually improved. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation treatment and can walk, the statement added. It pointed out that the World Health Organization was officially informed about the second case last Thursday, noting in this regard that the total number of cases infected with “coronavirus” in the world is six cases, including the two cases reported in Qatar. The Supreme Council of Health said it was monitoring the suspected cases and sending their samples for examination, adding that many samples were sent and all of which were negative. Currently, there are no other cases, and all those in contact with the patient are in good health, the statement said.
