
As part of its efforts to support blood donation drives in the country, the Sharjah Media Corporation (SMC) organised a blood campaign in collaboration with the Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Centre (SBTRC). A fully equipped medical vehicle sent from SBTRC was parked near the entry gate of the corporation from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm received a large number of SMC's employees from different departments and branches, who donated blood. Speaking on the occasion, Mohammed Ibrahim Almoaini, Deputy Marketing and Communication Manager at SMC, said: "This campaign is part of the corporation endeavours to support voluntary blood donation programmes across the country. The response to this initiative was positive among our employees. We are pleased to support such schemes in the light of the general national directions toward supporting humanitarian initiatives and we thank all the efforts that contributed to making this campaign a success. We are always ready to take part in supporting worthy humanitarian causes." Volunteers from SMC who took part in the campaign highly appreciated the initiative which is in line with humanitarian values that promote social solidarity.
