
A Spanish nurse who treated two victims of Ebola here has tested positive for the disease, Spanish Health Minister Ana Mato said.
The nurse, who was admitted to hospital in Alcorcon, near Madrid, yesterday, was among the team that treated Spanish priests Manuel Garcia Viejo and Miguel Pajares, who both died of the virus, Spanish officials confirmed.
The Minister said the nurse is in a stable condition, adding that all health authorities are working together to provide the best care to the nurse and guarantee the safety of all citizens.
Priests PManuel Garcia Viejo, 69, and Miguel Pajares, 75, died after catching Ebola in Sierra Leone and Liberia respectively.
