Damietta governorate is totally free of any case infected with the bird flu, Director General of Veterinary Medicine in Damietta Hassan Gharab said on Tuesday.
Strenuous efforts are underway to immunize poultry against the disease, he added.
About 20,000 chickens have been vaccinated against the virus, he asserted.
