
The Zayed Giving Initiative has concluded its humanitarian missions in Cairo under the supervision of an Emirati-Egyptian voluntary medical team, along with a number of senior doctors and surgeons.
The medical team provided diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive programmes that benefited 5,000 children and an elderly and had conducted four heart valve surgery operations.
The move followed the approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and is continued by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The beneficiaries expressed their thanks and appreciation to the UAE and its people for their support and their humanitarian initiatives aiming to alleviate the suffering of underprivileged patients.
